EN 62305-2 risk assessment determines whether lightning protection is needed and at what level. The obligation to install LPS is defined by Hungarian OTSZ regulation.
Risks: R1 (loss of human life), R2 (loss of service to public), R3 (loss of cultural heritage), R4 (loss of economic value). If any R > RT (tolerable risk), LPS is required.
Result: LPS Class (I–IV), which determines technical parameters and inspection frequency.
